Destination Weddings

What better time to be thinking about a destination wedding in an exotic location than while you are planning your wedding day! A destination wedding doesn’t necessarily mean you are heading to a sultry Caribbean beach location, though. If, as a couple, you decide to hold your wedding in any location other than where you reside, then you are part of this ever-increasing trend. Currently, over 80% of couples think about having a destination wedding and close to 20% actually have one. Some of the most popular locations for destination weddings are Jamaica, St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Walt Disney World and Las Vegas.

So, why have a destination wedding? Heading out of town for your wedding has a number of benefits. Destination weddings generally mean less stress for you. The packages are often all-inclusive, so this is a true opportunity for one-stop shopping. Also, if you want to keep your wedding small, this is the way to go. You are much less likely to face battles over the guest list, because the travel costs will generally mean that only those closest to you will join in the fun. Speaking of which, those who do come tend to embrace the experience, making a vacation out of the wedding. The smaller guest list results in overall savings for you, as reception costs will typically drop dramatically.

Destination weddings also allow you to truly leave the daily grind behind and immerse yourself in your wedding. However, if a big wedding with all your friends and family members in attendance is your dream, then save the travel for your honeymoon.
