Bling is the Thing!
The trend started on the west coast and has quickly made it to the east – bringing a little bling into your wedding can make it funky and memorable. While wedding gowns and jewelry have long allowed for shine and shimmer, many vendors are now showcasing bling in non-traditional ways. Three that are particularly spicey are flowers, linens and photo albums.
Floral bling takes a traditional arrangement to the next level. Floral experts Alison de Wit and Scott Stevanus of Distinctive Floral Designs regularly use large and small crystals in their centerpieces and bouquets to add style and shine.
Linens allow for one of the least expensive ways to bring bling to your wedding. Classy, shimmery tablecloths and napkins can literally transform a dull reception venue into something spectacular.
Bling photo albums allow for a long-lasting sense of style to be brought to the wedding. Top photojournalist Rodney Bailey of Photojournalism by Rodney Bailey has recently introduced a custom album line than can include exotic features such as ostrich leather, 24 karat gold inlay and diamonds.
